Emma & Marcus at The Treasury, Delavan
This was our second time working with Emma and Marcus. We shot their engagement session a while back, so by the time their wedding day rolled around it felt less like meeting new clients and more like showing up for people we already knew. That kind of history changes how a day feels behind the camera — less time spent getting comfortable, more time just shooting.
Jadrian led this one with a second shooter, ceremony at a church in Lake Geneva, reception at The Treasury in Delavan. Emma and Marcus were a blast the whole day — the kind of couple that makes a long day feel short.
The Treasury deserves its own paragraph, honestly. It's a converted 1909 bank building in downtown Delavan, exposed brick, marble along the lower walls, ceilings that go up almost 17 feet with arched windows to match. There's an original bank vault still on site that gets used for photos half the time. It's one of those venues that doesn't need much dressed up around it — the room does a lot of the work on its own, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to get real, unposed shots between the formal stuff.
Downtown Delavan itself is worth mentioning too. Red brick streets, old storefronts, small-town charm — if you're picking a venue for the photos as much as the reception, that street alone gives you more than most banquet halls ever will.
