Fargo, North Dakota: A Quick Rodeo Weekend Recap

Fargo, North Dakota, about 9 hours from home. It was a long drive, but honestly? Totally worth it. We hit the road early, snacks loaded, music up, and plenty of laughs to pass the time. There’s something about those road trip stretches that always get us excited for the rodeo weekend.

We rolled into Fargo with enough daylight to spare, which gave us a chance to get settled and finally stretch after being in the car all day.

Our hotel had a hot tub, so of course we had to check it out. Only problem? We completely spaced and forgot our swimsuits. So off to Target we went, swimsuit shopping wasn’t the original plan, but we couldn't skip the hot tub.

That first day we wandered around a bit and got a feel for the city. Downtown Fargo surprised us with cool murals and some awesome stores..

We stopped at Young Blood Coffee for a quick energy boost, and then we found our way into a comic book shop. Naturally, we walked out with a couple of Flash comics — because if you know Cody, you know how much The Flash means LOL

Friday was the first performance at the Fargo Dome, and we were there doing what we love.. capturing the action, energy, and every second through the lens. Every rodeo has its own vibe, and this one delivered the energy.

Afterward, we grabbed dinner and a N/A beer at Hooters to wind down and refuel. Low-key and exactly what we needed after a full day on our feet.

We were up early on Saturday for slack — there’s something special about those quiet mornings in the arena, before the crowd rolls in.

Later we hung out back at the hotel, rested up, culled through photos, and just enjoyed the slower pace. Then it was time for the final performance that evening.

All in all, this trip was everything we needed. Long miles, a hot tub adventure, comic books, coffee, and of course.. RODEO. Fargo gave us plenty of memories and even more photos.

Thank you to the Big Bucks Crew for having us out. Looking forward to next year!
